Alfaholics can rebuild and tune 2.0 Twin Spark engines for trackday or race usage. Engines can be built as either complete first series 75 engines, or with the option to have a second series (cleaner looking) 155 head. Whether you want injection or carburettors, distributor or mapped ignition we have a solution for your needs! Performance options ranging from 190-220BHP. Manufactured exclusively for Alfaholics, this cam cover gives a stunning GTAm look to the twin spark engine. CAD drawn and CNC precision machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminium, the quality is amazing – it has to be seen to be fully appreciated! Supplied as standard in crackle black or by special order with a hard anodised finish in either grey or dark red, or alternatively in a polished aluminium finish.
By computer designing this cam cover, we have been able to improve on two particularly poor features of the original GTAm and standard twin spark cam covers. Firstly, we have replaced the often leaky GTA breather filler cap with a CNC machined cap, utilising a rubber o-ring seal and threaded fitment. This also provides a high quality feel to fitting and removal of the cap. Secondly, the cam cover has been machined to accept a rubber o-ring seal (supplied) to replace the notoriously leaky paper twin spark cam cover gasket – spark plug holes filling with oil are a thing of the past!
This work of art can be supplied in both 75 (with distributor cutout) and 155 (no cut out) versions.

Completed CNC machined from billet aircraft grade aluminium and anodized. Designed to bolt to either the front or rear 2 bolt flange on the exhaust cam side of all 75 and 164 TS heads. This is the same part as we use in our billet cam cover kits to give a neat and high quality breather take off without having to run a breather pipe right round from the inlet side on a standard cam cover. This unit features a fully rotating outlet with rubber o-rings to seal the 2 components and a CNC machined offset trap door in the neck to minimise oil consumption.

New Alfaholics production. In designing this crank, we started from scratch using modern knowledge into optimum crank design and CAD to design the optimum crank for the Alfa 2000 Nord and Twinspark engine. The crank features a special oil gallery design that improves oil flow to the bearings at high revs and has the counterweight webs shaped very specifically to give optimum counterweighting to the piston & rod at high revs, something which is not very good with the original Alfa crank. Furthermore, the big ends are specially bored hollow to further reduce centrifugal weight. We stretched the stroke of the crank to the maximum possible whilst ensuring the crank fits the block without modifications, this has increased by 5.5mm to 94mm, which gives just over 2100cc with 84.6mm bore, or just under 2300cc with 87mm bore. The crank comes fully nitride and superfinished to reduce frictional losses. Our development engine has produced 15BHP extra with this new crank versus an original Alfa crank.

This unit can be used on 75/164 based twinspark conversions to give an authentic GTA look to the ignition system, or can be used on genuine GTAs looking for an improved ignition system but will require the GTA oil pump being converted to a normal peg drive shaft from spline shaft, or GTA oilpump replaced with a Nord oil pump. The distributor is loaded with a base-map to get the engine running, but will require optimisation on a rolling road to get the correct ignition setting for individual engines.

This is a full 3-D setup which allows ignition advance to not only be endlessly variable dependant on engine revs, but also with regard to throttle position. As a result the ignition timing can be refined far beyond the wildest dreams of a distributored engine! This results in a far smoother power curve and far greater ability to iron out flat spots. As a result, far more wild ‘race type’ cam profiles can be used on road/trackday engines, than could normally, and the engine will still have complete driveability that enables it to be docile driving to the shops yet have the ultimate performance for fast road and track work!
This system really is the ultimate way to run your Twin Spark engine on carburettors, giving most of the advantages of an injection set up but without the additional expense.
The boxes can be mounted anywhere in the car, either under the bonnet or under the dash. At Alfaholics we have thoroughly tried and tested this set up and are thrilled with the results we have obtained. We use it as standard equipment in every Alfaholics GTA-R build running on carburettors and as part of the package on all Alfaholics supplied carburettored Twinspark engines.

New Alfaholics production, developed for our new Alfaholics GTA-R 290! The inlet manifold has been CNC machined from billet aircraft grade aluminium and anodized. This manufacturing process has allowed us to be able to reduce material thicknesses resulting in significant weight saving over a traditional cast inlet manifold, whilst simultaneously giving an amazing appearance and surface finish. The individual throttle bodies are bespoke, and feature lightweight trumpets and a billet CNC machined fuel rail. This full assembly represents an amazing 1.5KG weight saving over an equivalent cast manifold with traditional throttle bodies. The inlet manifold features 2 heater outlet ports, an M12 boss for an ECU water temperature sender and a bracket for attaching an original Alfa throttle quadrant.

Complete kit of race quality parts for plumbing throttle body fuel injection systems; fuel pump, pump mount, fuel filter and adjustable fuel pressure regulator. This kit can be used in conjunction with our billet Twinspark throttle body assembly, or other aftermarket kits. Each component is fitted with -6 JIC unions to allow the use of race quality screw fit fuel lines. The regulator has a 3rd port for plumbing directly back to the tank as the return line, thus allowing the fuel rail to be single ended to save weight and reduce fuel line plumbing length.

Following the huge success of our 3-D mapped ignition system, we have introduced this new system for full fuel injection control. It uses a pair of high quality throttle bodies combined with air temperature, coolant temperature, & throttle position to control both fuelling and ignition. We have carefully selected injectors which are rated to 250BHP in a 4 cylinder application to ensure that the injector flow rate is optimised for Twinspark application. Many ‘off the shelf’ injectors are rated to 185BHP which is inadequate, whilst the common ‘next size up’ injector is rated to over 300BHP, which causes poor fuel atomisation at low revs in the Alfa application
The kit comes complete with a universal wiring loom, ECU, coil packs, amplifiers, fuel rail, all sensors and programming book. We can supply a start-up map so that your car will start and run from the minute you install it, but you should always have your engine professionally mapped on a rolling road to optimise the fuelling and ignition settings.

To use in conjunction with our Twinspark billet Inlet manifold & throttle body kit. Over the past 5 years we have been exclusively installing Motec management on our GTA-R builds with stunning results. The setup, monitoring sensors and associated software control systems are unrivalled and the ability to log and analyse 120Mb of previous running data during/after driving allow you to review and refine your map settings with exceptional detail. The system runs fully sequential fuel injection & ignition to give cleaner burning and lower fuel consumption than non-sequential batch fire systems. Specific features include:-
- 1000Hz processor speed
- Knock sensor trims ignition timing, monitored at a quite remarkable 200Hz. Due to the sequential ignition, it knows which cylinder has knocked and only changes the ignition timing on the specifically required cylinder.
- Wideband lambda control live adjusts injector time to ensure lambda stays to the control table target
- Air pressure sensor adjusts fuel volume delivery to match barometric pressure
- Coolant temp sensor enables optimisation of cold start and warm up by adjusting injector enrichment and ignition timing advance
- Air temp sensor enables optimisation of running in different ambient temperatures
- Fuel pressure sensor monitors live fuel pressure and maps required injector timing it against an algorithm for the flow characteristics of our specific chosen injector against varying fuel pressure
- Cam sensor to allow fully sequential injector/ignition/knock control – please note you must make modifications to you head/exhaust cam to install this
- Test function for you to test all components and accessories before first start to ensure all correct wiring and sensor gaps.
- Supplied with our 2.1 GTA-R software map which can be adjusted to suit your individual installation. If using with other engine capacity we can adjust the cc in the software for you.
Included with the kit is an Alfaholics designed, professional motorsport manufactured semi-assembled loom, with all wiring plugs for you to terminate and a spreadsheet with full pin/colour/component/function tables.
