GTA-R 290 – 290bhp / tonne

Dream specification update completed for the new owner to take this 2011 build GTA-R to MY 2026 GTA-R 290 specification throughout. The headline figures for the transformation are an 80kg total weight reduction and + 30BHP from the new 2.1 litre engine.

240bhp @ 7,000rpm

Alfa Romeo Twin Spark engine. Aluminium block built with a 94mm long stroke crankshaft, steel connecting rods, forged oversized pistons and race bearings. CNC ported aluminium cylinder head with race quality valve gear, coated cam followers and crackle black finished billet aluminium cam cover.

Motec M1

Motec’s latest M1 ECU management system with 1000Hz processor speed, sequential fuel and ignition firing, wideband lambda control, 200Hz knock control and 120Mb datalogging.

Cooling

Aluminium fabricated cooling system with taper flow top tanks, motorsport grade water and oil cooler cores incorporating ECU controlled cooling fans.

Our extensive and ongoing research programme combines modern technology with our heritage knowledge to create improvements in design and innovations in technology. These are installed on our workshop GTA-R 290, track tested at Nurburgring for optimisation and undergo thousands of road miles before sign off.

Suspension

Re-engineered with fully optimised geometry & improved design, our suspension systems deliver the highest level of grip and handling balance, whilst retaining the unique character and feel of a 105 series Alfa Romeo.

Exhaust

A dyno developed exhaust manifold benefiting from decades of experience on the race track to optimise torque and power delivery, paired to a refined 2 silencer system. Silencer design engineered to maximise performance and sound levels both in acceleration and in gentle cruise environment.

Gearbox

From gear ratios, to gear selectors and synchromesh components, we have fully re-engineered the Alfa gearbox to optimise all details; the rev drop between each gear to maximise performance and the quality and feel of the shift.

AXle

Alfa’s famous live axle, completely re-engineered. Featuring an advanced limited slip diff to maximise traction and feel at the limit of traction, titanium axle tubes to minimise weight and optimise tyre camber & toe geometry, billet diff sump for improved oil capacity & cooling.

Titanium front wishbones

Lower wishbones CNC machined from billet titanium featuring spherical bearings for superior accuracy of geometry under high cornering loadings. Upper wishbones fabricated from tubular titanium resulting in a further 6kg weight reduction.

Titanium uprights and hubs

CNC machined billet uprights with modified pick up positions to optimise dynamic geometry and uprated spindle design to eradicate pad “knock back”. Together with titanium wheel hubs and titanium wheel studs and nuts, a considerable saving of 3kg of unsprung and rotational weight.

Aluminium T-bar

Aluminium T-bar features redesigned chassis mount bushes and spherical bearing axle location for improved traction and further weight saving.

Double adjustable aluminium gas dampers

Developed by Alfaholics at the Nurburgring, these aluminium bodied double adjustable dampers provide exceptional body control and ride refinement with separate bump and rebound adjustment for the perfect setup on both road and track.
