Sebastian Bachem - Testimonial Dear Alfaholics, So, finally the Alfa is back on the road with the many bits and pieces from you. The quick steering arms are a superb improvement while making no significant difference in the input effort required. Together with the adjustable gta top arms the turn in is much more positive and the grip at the front seems considerably improved. At the back the Aluminium T-Bar (Race/Track day version) seems to have made the breakaway by far more predictable and easier to manage. At the same time, I do not feel any noticeable increase in noise or vibrations being transmitted back into the car. The engine is rebuilt to deliver strong torque but with the ability to rev freely and we have modified the original intake filter box to allow a maximum of air into the carbs while retaining the original look and close to original sound - beautifully sonorous without being too harsh. The new radiator and oil cooler package looks beautiful and despite the high temperatures we are having, keeps the oil temperature at around 100 degrees even after longer motorway runs - something the old system would not have been capable of doing. All in all, a perfect package for me, many thanks for the great parts, prompt supply and good advice. I would really like to get it back onto a track to see how everything comes together "in extremis" maybe you will be organising a trackday sometime in the future? I will be dropping by the Nürburg Ring in the not too distant future (it's only about 1,5 hours drive away) but given the length and complexity of that circuit, will certainly not be able to push it as hard as would be possible for me at Castle Combe. It just does not feel like the same vehicle. With the up-rated sports suspension including the Alfaholics handling kit (front and rear anti-roll bars), Q2 Limited Slip Differential, complete Alfaholics sports exhaust system, up-rated braking using Alfaholics 6 Pot front calipers and Brembo grooved discs and replacement clutch, the handling and performance of the car is dramatically improved. Understeer has been virtually eliminated, no matter what you are asking, it goes where it is pointed and now, with the up-rated braking system, actually stops when you want it to! I did see the parts prior to fitment and would echo their observations on the quality of fabrication – and also the difference in weight between the original and the Alfaholics parts! It actually took longer to remove the old system than it did to fit the new one. Having driven the car for a while now with it in place the new system does seem to have made the car more ‘eager’ to respond to the throttle and also gives a nice sound without being too loud or boomy when cruising. Many modern car can not keep up with my pace in in long and medium turns and even while cornering. Furthermore I have given the Giulia a body restoration and now she looks as new, see the picture. Once again thanks for the advice regarding the suspension (Combi of A and B with a set of spacers. Although there is a large LPG tank in the boot and driving with luggage or extra persons, she still is almost horizontal. I think she looks really awesome. Five days across the ocean with two very large boxes, delivered by the USPS to my shop door. Everyone please stand and applaud. I was really gobsmacked by the wheels. I was expecting a rough surface with casting imperfections, possibly heavy, but nevertheless an improvement over what I had. These wheels are perfect. I can grip a wheel in one hand and hold it straight out with little strain. Alfaholics publishes the weight on their website, which I forget at the moment, but I am hoping they are as strong as they claim. Tires won't be here until Monday or so, which leaves me pacing up and down with impatience."

French Customer Bruno Manfredini As a long term Alfista, I nearly owned all the 105 chassis version possible. I know the Banks’ for more than 5 years now and I am a faithful customer for race and road parts. My last road car was a 2000 GTV with Alfaholics road B kit, Alfaholics 4 pot brakes and some comfy mods. But I always find the car tiring on last distance tour (like the Centenary in Milano) majorly because of wind noise on door windows and a bit too long legged for that nearly stock engine. As a pure afficionado of 4 doors Alfa’s ( I owned in the 90’s a 1750 Mk1 ), I decided to make MY berlina. After months of researches, I found this time warp 71 1300 Super with 65000kms on the odometer at a well-known classic Alfa dealer. But it was a 1300. So we settled a deal or the car without engine drive train and wheels. I had in the garage a spare ex-racer torquey 2000 engine and 10/43 CP on the shelf. Many talks further with Max who was at that time working on Andrew’s TI super Replica, and the 1300 Super project, leads to a 2000-Super car. I wanted an effortless car with comfort and efficient suspension. So I went for: FIA kit 2”1/4 on slightly lowered suspension ( minus 3 cms )Alloy rose jointed T-barLightened trailing armsFull Alfaholics geometry kitSport Koni all aroundAlfaholics 4 pots calipers kit with rear aluminium calipers.Screw rear brake limitorEngine is that ex race one with long alloy car mount and 40 DCOE carbs for extra torque (power estimated to 150-160 bhp no more but flat bottom torque curve ) and 123tune ignition specially made.Full Alfaholics SS exhaust lineLive axle is 1750 10/43 CP on 40/25 Alfaholics LSDAlfaholics 7x15” GTA Veloce wheels with custom Alfaholics smoke paint finish Early summer tests in Aveyron during my holidays, revealed a fantastic torquey car, with all the comfy side of the Berlina. What a difference with the GTV. As says my wife: far less sensual but so more usable. The full suspension prove the efficiency of a modern car on those little twisty roads (just ask that A6 Quattro owner). I really don’t feel the extra weight compared with the GTV. In fact I must say that the slightly shorter final ratio + big improvements in wind noise and comfier seats largely put the Berlina as the best 105 Classic choice. I was just a little disappointed with the front damping on bad bumpy roads. So having spoken to Max, the latest improvements are 2 front special Alfaholics race dampers with road valving. The dampers are beautiful, even on softest position. They have dramatically changed the car. At 140 Km/h you feel like a modern car. Incredible, what a balance. The speed in motorway long apex is terrific with absolutely no drama. I have now also fitting an Alfaholics alloy radiator and low temperature thermostat for extra town cooling. Next car will surely be a 1750 Berlina mark1 with same suspensions tricks and an Alfaholics TS and why not aircon as well!

Honestly I think it is the most fun You can get out of a classic car. Yes I modified the car a lot with its 216 bhp big valve twin spark, geometrykit, big brakes, racingdiff, racingclutch, race propshaft, stainless under axle exhaust, alu t-bar etc. etc. but no way I could have spent my money better! It is just stunning, the big valve twinspark behaves so unbelievable nice and pulls trough all gears from 1500 rpm so easy it really is unbelievable. Handling is stunning, the difference the Geometry kit, alu t-bar and racing diff make is fantastic. Best thing is especially in fast corners the front end grip is amazing and combined with being able to steer the car on the throttle with help from the diff makes so much fun! Alfaholics' Customer Robert Paul Dear Max/Andrew and the team, I just thought i would let you know that our Alfaholics spec’d 1750 won the Indonesian Retro Championship for the third year in a row! For the final event of 2011 we managed to qualify on the pole in a 49 car field (race was restricted to 45 starters) but a gear shifting problem forced us to fall back and finish in 3rd place, which was still good enough to win the 2011 Championship by 2 points! The competition has been getting tougher with the entry of more mid-80s European cars to balance the previous Japanese domination (ie: a 16v Mercedes 190E placed 2nd in the 2011 Championship and an E30 BMW 318 finished in 3rd place), so we have had to spec up a bit. (The Retro Series allows all 2-Liter vintage cars including 16-valve engines, up to a 1986 chassis model. Other marques making up the large grids include Datsun 510 and B310, Toyota Corolla DX, BMW 2002 and 318 E30, Fiat 124, Alfa GTV and Giulia, Mercedes 190E, Renault 5TL, Morris Mini, etc.) We are still using the Alfaholics 218hp TS engine for the third straight year without a rebuild! After the rather disappointing result in Barbados (not the car’s fault maybe the driver), we took our 1600 Sprint GT into Sherwood Forest at the weekend. First forest event for me in 25 years. I must thank you and all of your staff for all of the hours of technical advice and parts advice that have gone into the building of this historical 1 category car, which is for rallying of cars aged from 1959 to 1967. The car in the forest was absolutely superb. It’s slightly narrow track to the Escorts made it a little unstable at high speed (as we could not run completely in their tracks), but when we move to full Historic Rallying being in H1 class it will not run with the Escorts. All of the parts supplied by Alfaholics worked great and again I cannot thank you enough for yours and all of your staff’s hard work in bringing this to fruition. This is the first time I had driven the car in these conditions and as much as she was possibly 3 second per mile behind the Escorts and the Datsun 240 Z, I do feel that she and I can start taking lumps out of that! Alfaholics Race Suspension Package - Australian customer Spencer Rice "Thought I ought to drop you a note to let you know how we got on with the car once we had made the changes to the suspension…We ran at the Australian Muscle Car Masters at Eastern Creek, which incidentaly was the biggest Historic Touring Car event ever to be staged in Australia… this field is made up in the majority by V8’s. Chevy Camaro’s, Holden Monaro’s, Ford Falcon’s and Mustangs etc. We set the car up in the shop paying careful attention to ride height as per the email shot of your track car…I drove it for the first time on the Friday practice and it was good straight out of the box… the ability to carry much better corner speed thanks to the handling, we took two whole seconds of our previous best time at Eastern Creek and performed at that time consistently through the whole weekend. Tyre wear was near perfect! Due to the progressive grids for the weekend we found ourselves on sixth position on Sunday morning and the Fourth on Sunday afternoon for the Trophy race. That is unheard of in this very competitive class. We managed to stick it up the inside of a Torana on the first lap on cold tyres and made a break for it and consolodated third position which we held till the last lap.
