Its hollow bar design with splined billet aluminium lever arms and titanium pinch bolts achieves a weight saving of 3KG compared to the solid steel equivalent. Supplied with polyurethane mounting rubbers. As developed on Max’s GTA-R 290 and now fitted to all our GTA-R 290/300 builds. Requires use of our 12mm rose-jointed drop links, if you do not already have these then please select the drop links on the ‘add to’ box as well.

We have developed these new CNC machined billet uprights to tackle the final remaining engineering flaw in the design of 105/115 series front suspension when used in a high performance application. What started off as a project to eliminate brake pad knock-back, has resulted in one of the single biggest improvements for performance 105 series driving…!Alfa designed the uprights with relatively small diameter spindles for mounting the front hub/disc assembly, which suited the standard wheel/tyre package the factory used. However, when these original uprights are used with modern tyres, the cars suffer from a long brake pedal after going through a series of corners (either on the road or track) that require the brake pedal being pumped once to get the bite point back to the correct pedal height – this effect is known as “pad knock-back”. This occurs when the spindle flexes in the upright due to the loadings from the wheel/tyre, resulting in the disc being able move beyong its normal axis, thereby forcing the brake pads away from the discs, causing the long brake pedal. To tackle this issue, we have completely redesigned the uprights using a larger diameter spindle and a more robust fitment area where they interface the upright in order to significantly increase rigidity.While redesigning the uprights, we also took the opportunity to address the pickup geometry of the upper and lower ball joints. With careful analysis and computer simulation of the KPI, scrub radius with our 7×15” GTA wheels, roll camber correction factor and roll centre height, we have modified the upper and lower ball joint locations to optimise all these important suspension kinematic factors. The benefits of this redesign is handling with a faster transient response times in direction change, improved tyre temperature distribution across the tyre face, reduced tyre wear, reduced steering effort and reduced kick back from the steering in oversteer condition. The result you experience when you drive with these uprights is without doubt the single biggest improvement to the suspension of any performance 105 series car! Steering weight is transformed, making sticky trackday Yokahama AD08 tyres feel like 185 section road tyres at parking speeds, whilst there is less torque in the steering during oversteer corrections. The front of the car is now even more precise and better conveys the limit of adhesion through the steering to the driver.These uprights are designed in conjunction with our top specification GTA-R front suspension components in order to extract the very best out of the cars. That means they need to be fitted with our geometry kit and our titanium top wishbones. Due to the modified upper and lower pickup positions, these uprights must be used in conjunction with our steel angled quick steering arms (not our billet aluminium straight versions) in order to retain the correct bumpsteer geometry. These uprights have been optimised to fit with our 6-pot brake kit and have 1750/2000 (89mm) caliper bolt spacing. They can be used with other brakes that are compatible with 1750/2000 uprights although you may need to modify the disc offset.Supplied as a pair with a matching set of wheel bearings and hub oil seals to work with the factory wheel hubs. Also supplied with a pair of short outer track rod taper pins and a range of spacer shims to allow you to optimise your bumpsteer which are designed to be used with our steel quick steering arms and rose jointed track rod kit (available separately).

Full race 2 1/4″ small spring kit designed to be used on all models of 105 series Alfas. Designed using CAD & CAM this spring kit does not require the use of a spring pan or a heavy full size Alfa style spring. This constitutes a massive weight saving (4.2KG per corner!). It bolts directly to the outer spring pan holes on the standard wishbone. It features a fully adjustable threaded spring platform allowing the front ride height to be altered quickly and easily, without removing the spring. This also allows a much finer and more accurate control when corner weighting the car, essential for shaving the last few tenths off lap times and for improving driveability. This gives all the benefits of a coil over unit without any of the structural problems of mounting a coil-over unit to the inner wing. The pivot pin design has recently been updated to include the front anti-roll bar fixing; thus our rose jointed anti-roll bar drop link directly fits this pivot pin; this results in further weight saving and improved simplicity of design. The mounts come finished in hard anodizing. Notes – Priced per kit but supplied without springs although we can supply these if required. Please call to discuss the optimum spring rate and length. You also have the option to upgrade to titanium pivot pins which results in a further weight saving of 1KG.

CNC machined billet titanium wishbone arms with titanium 4-bolt version cross pins and titanium nyloc nuts – save an incredible 5kg over factory parts! We have designed these arms for direct fitment to all 105 series cars with 4-bolt version engine cross members. Cars with 2 bolt cross members can retro-fit these arms by modifying the cross member to later spec, as per the period Alfa technical bulletin. Dependant on your race series regulations, they can be used in conjunction with our lightweight spring pans or our fully adjustable 2 1/4″ conversion and with either a factory bottom ball joint or our geometry kit lower pickup. The arms use race type spherical bearings rather than the factory metallastic bush to ensure greater geometry precision. As fitted to all top specification Alfaholics GTA-R builds.

This beautifully CNC machined kit replaces the original bottom ball joints fitted to your 105 series Alfa Romeo, to optimise the front suspension geometry of all 105/115 series cars. These geometry improvements make the car far easier and more predictable to drive on the limit, as well as being faster. The retention of original wishbones allows the kit to be used in more tightly regulated race series (such as SVRA) where original suspension arms must be retained, but it also makes this kit perfect for both fast road and trackday 105 Series cars. This kit is fully compatible with both our FIA 2 ¼” kit which retains springs pans and our full race adjustable ride height kit which removes them. The kit increases castor by being offset forwards and also corrects the front rollcentre back above ground level, in so doing increasing the roll-on camber at the same time. These significant problems of all 105 series Alfas with standard geometry make lowered cars far harder and slower to drive than they should be. A typical method of reducing the camber and castor problems with standard geometry is to start with more static camber, but this itself has 2 major problems; reduced footprint for braking but more significantly, increased nervousness, particularly on uneven and cambered surfaces. The increased roll-on camber and castor provided by this kit allow a reduced level of static camber to be set, vastly improving the drivability of dual-purpose road and track cars. This Alfaholics kit is supplied with rose jointed outer track rods with specially pre-machined pins that remove bumpsteer completely. No special setup equipment it required! The complete eradication of bumpsteer makes the car far easier and more enjoyable to drive, as the steering wheel no longer kicks around in your hands, when the suspension moves up and down over bumps and under braking. Also included are a pair of ‘shock extender pins’ (for use with Koni or Bilstein shocks) which reset the travel of the shock absorber back into the middle of its travel, just as our ‘Shock Turret Extenders’ do for the rear suspension. Our aluminium adjustable front dampers do not need these extender pins. All parts are CNC machined to the very highest standards and then plated. All rose joints and bearings are premium quality PTFE lined self lubricating items, whilst the outer trackrods are finished in premium black powder coating.
