Car 99% completed and ready for road testing and rolling road work to optimise the fuelling and ignition settings.
Engine bay completed; as the engine is running on our 3D mapped ignition system, the HT leads run through the firewall just like our Twin Spark engined cars.
Our customer's focus for use will be mainly trackdays and rally events, so the interior will be more stripped out, like Max's car, than the recent builds we have completed. The tunnel and rear seat area will be exposed areas of body shell and thus have been wet flatted to get a show finish. Dashboard fitted with FIA master switch and will be soon fitted with a remote pull for the plumbed in gas fire extinguisher. Rally trip meter installed for rally event compliance.

The shell was fine media blasted to remove all the paint, filler, underseal and sound deadening. It was then blasted with a heavier media in localised areas to remove corrosion from the structural areas which were not being replaced. New panels were fitted to restore the shell; this included floor pans, outer sills, front valance, stepfront corner repairs, headlamp retaining panels, base of rear screen, wing bottoms and rear wheel arches. The shell was then seam welded, seam sealed, undersealed prior to painting on a rotisserie, with a wet flat and polish finish throughout.
The donor car was a partially dismantled 1968 1300 GT Junior, although a RHD UK car, it had lived much of its life in Italy. On the surface the car showed all the traditional rusty areas for 105 coupes, rusty floor pans, window apertures and front valance, however, the main structure, sills and chassis members of the car were clearly in good condition.
