With both the steel chassis restoration and aluminium outer body conversion complete, the car is installed onto a chassis roller and is ready to ship home to Europe. Prior to shipping we installed our bolt in rollcage and packed the car full of Alfaholics race parts required for the first stage of the assembly.

Steel Frame Ready For Aluminium Body Fitment

Body fitted up with suspension and mocked up race ride heights. As the car will be raced as an FIA GTA specification type race car Dunlop CR65 tyres are fitted to check wheel arch clearance.

Stripped Shell Arrives for Preparation

Stripped steel shell arrives from customer in mainland Europe. The car which is thought to have originally come from North Africa, was thick with filler – up to 12mm in some areas, and had clearly had a hard life.

Shell found to have had many very poor quality repairs made in the past, with a complete new rear end having been fitted at some point from the rear wheel arches back at least once in its life, potentially twice! Front scuttle under wiper mechanism found to be complete corroded out along its length!
