Alfaholics GTA Close Ratio Gear Kit
This superb GTA close ratio gear kit has been manufactured exclusively for us by the UK’s leading transmission manufacturer, Quaife Engineering. Unlike any other kit on the market, we have directly copied an original GTA gear kit. As a result, the gears are not only scooped, but they are also drilled for further weight saving, just as original GTA gears. The layshaft is rifle drilled, as original, for further weight reduction. All these weight savings and consequently reduced inertia, result in a gearbox with a lightning fast shift speed both up and down the ratios. Not only does this mean a sweeter and more positive shift action, but on track a saving of several tenths of a second over a lap. This is a must for all racers!

We have considerable experience in using other aftermarket gear kits which feature full needle roller bearings on the mainshaft gears. These have proved to be fragile and we have suffered a number of failures. As a result, the Alfaholics GTA gears have been specially developed in conjunction with Quaife to feature partial needle roller bearings for reduced friction and part bronze bush to maximise strength in the gear. The tooth profile has also been improved from original to further increase the torque and power handling capacity of the box. As a result of these improvements in design, the Alfaholics GTA gear kit is not only the lightest kit on the market, but is also the strongest. The synchro dog teeth have been specifically cut to match original Alfa items so the gearbox can be built using original Alfa synchro hubs and rings. Ratios are as per original GTA Corsa but with a 0.85 5th gear, the best ratio for track use. The kit has also been designed so that 5th gear is interchangeable with original, so 0.79 and 0.88 ratios can be fitted instead if necessary.

Alfaholics Full Race Paddle Clutch Kit
Extremely lightweight billet CNC machined flat flywheel manufacturered from very high tensile EN24T steel. Weighs only 4.8 kgs including ring gear! AP Racing's latest technology billet aluminium black anodised pressure plate weighing an amazing 1.2kgs, 4-paddle cera-metallic friction plate, premium quality round nose release bearing and bespoke billet machined aluminium release bearing carrier to adapt to fit directly to Alfa Romeo hydraulic clutch fork and bell-housing.

We chose to use a single plate 4-paddle cera-metallic plate set up as it allows much more clutch pedal feel than a sintered friction material. Sintered materials cause the clutch pedal to feel like an on/off button, which is much too aggressive for historic tyres, as well as putting huge strains through the rest of the drivetrain and making the car difficult to drive in the wet! We have tested this cera-metallic paddle setup in our 2.0 Sprint GT racer for the last 2 seasons with much success and are much happier with its characteristics compared with the previous twin plate sintered setup used.

This kit comes complete and is ready to bolt directly to your Alfa Romeo. Flywheel available for both 6-bolt and 8-bolt crank applications and for both cable and hydraulic clutch bellhousing fitments.

Alfaholics Front Propshaft Conversion Kit
For years the rubber front propshaft coupling (doughnut) has caused racers huge headaches and retirements from races. Doughnut distortion is caused by high centrifugal forces developed at high speeds. This causes the propshaft bush and gearbox mainshaft ball to wear unevenly and consequently the propshaft spins like a skipping rope and the doughnut itself starts opening out, EVEN when using a GTA doughnut cage. Symptoms range from vibrations which lead to broken clutches and bellhousings, right through to the doughnut exploding which can cause huge damage to the drivetrain and tunnel.

We have developed this superb system to eliminate any such problems occuring. It comprises a CNC machined aluminium ring to bolt onto the gearbox output spider which mates to a bespoke front propshaft section featuring a universal joint at the front. We have perfected this system with huge success in our Alfaholics 2.0 Sprint GT Racer for 4 years and have been so impressed we now have it fitted to Max's GTA Replica trackday car as well! You also get the added benefit of much faster acceleration responses to throttle input as you no longer have to wait for the doughnut to wind up under increased torque load. You really feel like your right foot is connected to the rear wheels!

The kit comes complete with the following:- machined 3-pointed gearbox spider, CNC billet aluminium ring, front propshaft section fitted with front UJ, new HD centre support, new bearing and balanced, all bolts and Schnorr safety washers, ready to fit. Alfaholics Race Clutch Master Cylinder Conversion Kit.
This kit is designed to convert RHD cars to fit a racing clutch master cylinder. It is perfectly suited to both road and circuit use.

Fits directly to original chassis points, uses original mounting bolts, requires no additional fabrication or drilling.

Can also be used to convert cable clutch cars to hydraulic set up.

Alfaholics Racing Differential
70% lock up on load, 40% lock up on over run, a racing must!

Its unique design with differing acceleration and deceleration ramps gives it 70% lock up under acceleration ensuring huge traction out of the tightest of hairpins, whilst the 40% lock up on overrun allows the car to be positioned with greater accuracy on the approach to a bend and ensures perfect turn in with no understeer.

The design of the original 2000 type Alfa ZF LSD many racers use means that preset lock up reduces with use as the plates wear, this leads to frequent and expensive rebuilds to maintain in good condition. The Alfaholics Racing Diff does not suffer from these problems, allowing you to 'fit and forget', rather than 'fit and worry about the next time you need to rebuld the LSD'!

The diff is available primarily for fitment into 1300/1600/1750 axle unit with smaller halfshafts which drastically reduce the unsprung and rotational weight of the diff unit over a 2000 type ZF LSD and thick 2000 halfshafts as well as opening up the range of ratios available for fitment.
