Stage 1 - Shell Preparation
Car stripped, all sealer removed, shell blasted & cage fitted. We removed all excess tags and brackets from the shell, drilled holes in all remaining non-structural parts to get the shell as light as possible. It was then sent for paint. So many race GTAs are red, and the remainder, bar a very small minority, are white or yellow! We decided to be a bit different and paint the car in a colour that would emphasis the beauty of the Giugiaro design! Dark grey metallic was voted for, and to add a little colour and increase the car's visability to the pit crew, a dark red nose was chosen. Finished article - looks fantastic!
