Our customer, a keen Alfaholic, with several Alfaholics prepared 105 series cars expressed his interest to buy a competition Stratos. After some time searching, this car became available and was bought and delivered to Alfaholics. The car was in overall good condition, a bit scruffy round the edges but not in the ‘perfect ready to race’ condition the owner wanted. Our restoration brief was to strip the car to a bare shell, restore the body to show quality condition, then reassemble the car, restoring all the components in the process, resulting in a perfect race/rally ready gp.4 Stratos. As the car was not originally a works car, during the reassembly we are to convert the specification to as close to a factory prepared gp.4 Works car as possible by sourcing all the components the works cars would have used. This includes flat dashboard conversion, 24 valve heads with injection and much more.
