The donor car was a partially dismantled 1968 1300 GT Junior, although a RHD UK car, it had lived much of its life in Italy. On the surface the car showed all the traditional rusty areas for 105 coupes, rusty floor pans, window apertures and front valance, however, the main structure, sills and chassis members of the car were clearly in good condition.
